About the manufacturer: The Mountain as a company grew from dress roots when two lifelong friends moved from new jersey to new hampshire and began creating belts and buckles to sell. The most popular product was a buckle of a mountain on the back that became the company’s calling card. When The Mountain incorporated and introduced its first t-shirt back in the early 90s, The Mountain company has defined itself an eco-friendly apparel manufacturer. On that epic moment in history we made a very important decision to put the environment first by choosing water based inks and organic reactive dyes as the foundation of our production process. I originally ordered a medium because it was cheaper and figured I’d be fine with a bigger hoodie to wear with leggings during autumn. I get the medium and it’s was like a dress. So I exchanged a paid a little more for a small. I get the small and while it fits better, still big, almost like what you’d expect a standard mens medium would; it’s still like a dress, but tighter. I’m 5’4” and 133lbs and it hits to almost mid thigh. The print on the medium was nice, but the print on the small was different, a little more blurry and not as intensely colored as the medium which disappointed me. The slight tie dye look of the hoodie looked better on the medium as well. The small I got, it’s barely visible, but it just looks like odd, partially dried wet stains on it if that makes any sense. If I knew that the difference in print and design would be so different, I would’ve kept the medium and just worn it super big because at least it would be looser and not so tight around my legs. I like it, I just don’t like how long it is. It’d be great if I was about 6 inches taller.
