There are stories ‘based on true events’ and then there are simply true events. The following is a true event. As I was checking out at Home Depot (wearing upon my chest the docile herbivore, brachiosaurus), an employee emerged from amongst the shrubbery – 60-ish, female, in proverbial orange apron – needless to say, I immediately realized what had drawn her out from the safety of the shire – for eye contact was absent, save the brachiosaurus staring into her soul. Indeed, she instantly erupted into a chorus of praise from: “Wow, your shirt is outstanding” and “It’s like looking at an HDTV” to “It’s so big, but I’m not afraid of it because it eats plants” and “I can tell it’s real dye, the colors are amazing.”Clearly, this shirt reviews itself, I am only your guide on this particular journey through macaronicly Mesozoic & magnicaudate madness.Purchase for yourself and become a living, walking Disney World ride.Peace.

As I strolled down the street in my Mountain Classic Brachiosaurus Tee I held my head higher; my mind became more focused; I had 5 o’ clock shadow well before lunch. An elderly patron of a local shop spotted the majestic long necked beauty treading across my chest all the way from the dusty, dim, back corner of the store. That scowl; the gritty stare; it was Clint Eastwood! He was drawn to me like a mosquito to a trailer park bug zapper. I immediately noticed that ole Dirty Harry was in fact captivated by the beast upon my tunic. He broke his gaze only to look at me and say “I like your dinosaur shirt.” Never in my life had five words penetrated so deeply into my soul. I knew my response had to be chosen swiftly but carefully. “Thanks! It’s a Brachiosaurus.” I said to him. As he slowly nodded, his face could not hide the immense joy and sense of approval that flooded his heart. We didn’t exchange any more words. He stood there for another moment in admiration of my shirt then we parted. Clint slowly faded off into the horizon, probably to hand roll a cigar and practice field stripping an M1 Garand. Since that fateful day I have been able to run faster, eat more T-bone steaks in one sitting, make chainsaw sculptures, and build a log cabin by hand. You wouldn’t be able to rip this shirt from my back even if you were Chuck Norris and Van Damme’s lovechild.

I have been a fan of The Mountains for quite a time now. I can’t remember quite where I had first seen their merchandise, but I want to say it was somehow along the veins of Karmaloop or Moose LTD. Needless to say I’ve been a fan for awhile now. These days I buy Mountain shirts for my son, who is insanely into dinosaurs (he’s had every dinosaur-themed Mountain shirt over the years). Love the tie dye base shirts and the prints are strong and colorful! Because of the amount of ink [which is a good thing] used on the shirts, sometimes they can feel a little bit stiff. Don’t worry, that’s something that’ll naturally go away. So just to wrap it up, if you’ve never ordered a Mountain shirt, order and prepare to be amazed. Also expect to get compliments along the way.

I hate writing this review. I have been receiving shirts from “The Mountain” for years. My wife includes them for birthdays and every Christmas. We have also bought them as gifts to others. Love the art work and themes. In fact I I met a guy that was friends with the artist that did the shirt I was wearing. In our conversation he commented on the artists talent, his wonderful character and how he loved his work. Just made me feel even better about our purchases. However, I would be negligent if I did not comment on the negative. We have watched the quality of the shirts decrease over the last few years. The material is thinner, scratchy and develops holes very easily. We also noticed the colors really run. In comparison we received shirts from two other companies this Christmas, and both had better quality were softer fabric and were color fast in comparison. We would happily pay a little extra for better quality. It has become a tradition to purchase a shirt from “The Mountain” and we would like to continue that tradition.

I was hesitant to buy this because some other reviews said it was a children’s shirt. It is not. I am 5 feet tall and 130 pounds and this is definitely an adult shirt. Luckily, it isn’t too long on me. That being said I would not recommend this if you’re over 5’8. It fits like any other loose t shirt!

I absolutely love this shirt! The colors are more vibrant than I expected, which was great. After months of wears and washes, the colors still pop and the shirt hasnt shrunk or lost any shape. I ordered a 3x for a looser fit. Just the right length and fit.

I got this shirt 2 sizes to big because I wanted new sleep shirts. They fit great and are really comfortable. They neck oh them are great and if they were my actual size I’d wear them out.

I can not comment on size issues, because these sizes are so inconsistent. I have 5 grandsons, so it’s not a problem for me. The material washes well, and the prints are fantastic, and will last as long as the shirt does.
